Verruca plana, otherwise known as flat warts are flat-topped papules which may be found in young
children as well as adults. They are mostly located on the backs of the hands, or shins and often disappear quickly
without any treatment.

Verruca vulgaris or plantar wart may be found on the sole, heel, or ball of the foot, they most
commonly occur in late teens , and in those who share bathing facilities or dormitories. The appearance of the
plantar wart is mostly flat with a hyperkeratotic surface, tenderness may be marked.
The best method for treating the wart is to avoid exposure in the first place, this can be done by wearing
footwear at all times .Because they are under the foot the constant pressure can add to their size, and cause pain
and discomfort when walking, pressure can be relieved by the addition of a metatarsal bar on the shoe.
